Solo Travelogue to Hat Yai, Thailand (cont)
Nothing much to blog about since its a solo trip, but there’s fun here and there lah!
FOOD!
Check out my feast at the japanese restaurant!
Fuji Japanese Restaurant.
Looks appealing but doesn’t really taste as good as food in Japanese restaurants in Singapore.
Let’s take a short break from food.
Tried to take an upskirt shot with the help of the tilt LCD screen on the NEX 5.
But failed totally.
The reason:
Breakfast:
Bak-kut-teh.
Tastes weird for some reason though.
Had ice-cream in the afternoon cos I was too hot!
Then comes lunch at MK restaurants.
Sat on a tuk tuk, kinda different from the normal tuk tuks you see in Bangkok. It’s much more stable I would say.
But they like to “tok people” (cheat money)!
The baked chicken rice at Pizza hut.
Disappointing!
Then I had Sizzler again! This meal was quite expensive because of the fish.
I don’t know what this was called, but it was recommended to me by the waiter, who seemed quite impatient!
Somemore the staff there DON’T SPEAK ENGLISH!
Come on, if you don’t speak english, don’t work in a western restaurant!
Niceeeeeee.
And I’m left with soooooo many coins. I don’t usually use them! Gotta find a way to finish them by tomorrow!
Back to SG tomorrow! WOOTS!
I kinda don’t know what to blog about because I just eat sleep, eat sleep, eat sleep.
-_-!
Jailbreak your iOS Device (iPhone 3GS, iPhone 4, iPad!)
This has been released for quite a while now, and I know. This is just to update people that aren’t aware, I’m sure there are many of you!
The following jailbreak method is set to jailbreak any iPhone, iPhone 3GS (new AND old model), iPhone 4, up to iOS 4.0.1, and the iPad, up to iOS 3.2. Which also technically means any iOS device as of date.
However, if you are using the iPhone 4, please make do some research on the app you are going to install on Cydia, because it might not be compatible with the new device yet.
This is one of the simplest jailbreak yet.
(Some history: If you have been using the iPhone since it’s first version, there’s a web jailbreak available for version 1.1.4 too, its called iJailbreakMobile.)
What you need:
Your iOS Device.
Wi-Fi preferably, 3G should work fine too.
Now you are set!
Step 1: Go to http://www.jailbreakme.com
Step 2: Slide to Jailbreak your iOS device.
Step 3: Wait.
Step 4: You should be done in a few minutes.
If safari crashes for any reason, just try again from Step 1.
Now you can get back to customizing your iPhone and download jailbroken apps with Cydia!
Ciao!
Solo Travelogue to Hat Yai, Thailand Day 1
It’s now Day 1, 9:41 PM Thai time.
Booked a flight to Hat Yai because of the free travel package I won from being Mr. Eco Friendly with Teens Model Search earlier this year.
Solo trip.
Woke up like 8 this morning, did reallyyyyyy last minute packing for the seemingly long 5 day trip.
Rushed and reached the airport at 10.30 am.
Then McDonalds’, just the way I like it, Breakfast Deluxe plus an additional scrambled egg. =X
I tell you, I’m going to get fat on this trip lah!
Eat, sleep. Eat, sleep.
Checked in, and this innocent looking cabinet revived my Blackberry!
Booked a room at Lee Gardens Hotel.

Reached, and although the room isn’t very appealing, it isn’t too shabby either.
Just below the hotel is a popular shopping mall!
First thing I did was to purchase a prepaid sim card and set up my blackberry data plan! But there isn’t a plan that goes by week! All by month, 30 days!
In the end I bought DTAC’s Happy internet sim card at 69 baht, and topped it up with a blackberry access plan for 350 baht.
Quite costly.
Well next, had to fill the grumbling stomach again!
Had lunch at Sizzler.

Gave me the perfect excuse to play with my new Sony NEX 5.
Stunning depth-of-field on a camera this size.
Almost the size of a point-and-shoot digital cam, but delivers DSLR quality images!
Pardon my shabby photography skills, but this piece of bread, this lonely halved pieced of garlic bread, is the BEST bread I’ve ever tasted in my life!
Yum!
Salad buffet!
Main course: Southwest grilled chicken
Playing with the camera again:
The chicken was great, but the baked potato was… Er.. Not.
And then, desserts! Mousse!
After which, went for a walk around the hotel, and to my dismay, there’s really nothing much to see around here.
It’s kinda like Singapore in the 70s?
Well, shall I go for a massage now or watch TV to sleep?
I’ll be back soon!~
Honey Lemon Jujubes
I’m now suffering from great pain in my stomach for some time now, due to spicy food, and also dry cough and sore throat. Hope I’d be well soon!
The best candy for sore throat.
Thanks Pearly!
