I’ve always wanted to be a firefighter when I was young.
I would go crazy when my mum brings me to a fire station to visit! All the fire engines, sirens, and hoses, are my soft spot. I remember there was this officer that used to bring me around when I sat on his shoulders. CUTE RIGHT! Haha.
But now I’m all grown up and when I visit the fire station, I realised that it was still pretty much the same! Nostalgia!
Here’s a picture of me trying out the ladder on the fire engine. I remember I was real excited that time!
Can’t imagine how they do this everyday because I actually have a phobia of heights.
So what are you waiting for? Gear up and head over to http://pea.to/scdf3 to know more about this rewarding career!
Give yourself a chance to contribute to the welfare of our country.
What it takes to be part of the SCDF Team?

Went on a visit to SCDF Central Fire Station with Ben and Randy!
Yes, fire station! One of my dreams when I was young.
At the fire station we tried different kinds of ‘water guns’ to put out fires!
This is a gun connected to the fire hydrant, and it shoots out a water mist.
Oh wait, what’s down there?
It’s a rainbow! Ok this is random!
Fireman me playing with the huge hose! The water can shoot quite far! Had to grip it real tight because it was heavy and did cause some recoil when the water shot out.
Carrying the compressed air tank which weighs a few kilos! Imagine carrying this and run! Can’t imagine!
But firefighters have to carry this into the scene to survive!
Went up on this automated ladder thing firefighters use to reach heights!
Can go up to a few storey high! We went up to 5 floors high!
It’s really very high, and I can imagine why firefighters can do the following:
Yes! It’s the jump-4-storey-and-hug-a-pole typical fireman stunt! At least 3 of them performed for us live! You don’t get to see this everyday!
Went to the museum beside the fire station, there were lots of old stuff! Real bits of history there.
Us sitting in an old restored fire engine!

Dell Design Studio

Dell has come up with Design Studio, with laptops that are affordable and with different styles to choose from!
My favorite designer:

I find his design real inspirational and creative! Being a aspiring designer myself, it is not easy to come up with design concepts like these. He comes from a colorful background, maybe that is why he could be able to do so.
Which is your favorite?

LG Eve. The Infatuation. (Features)
When I first met you in the park, I immediately fell in love.
So I took you out on a date at the park like all the couples do.
But it kinda shocked me because you insisted that you have to bring your friends along.
Surprisingly we had real fun together!
These three are the closest friends of the LG GW620!
I just got to know them, and I’ll introduce them to you! One by one.
This is the pretty Social Butterfly!
She allows the LG Eve to connect with all your friends to provide you real-time instant updates to you!
Cool right!?
Social Butterfly: Bebo connects you to all your friends and brings in updates from Facebook, MySpace, YouTube and other networks.
Shawn: Live updates! Cool!
Social Butterfly: Facebook is also one of the goodies in the SNS! Gives you the power to approve/ignore your friend requests, check out your friend’s statuses, look at your profile, send a message, and much more!
Shawn: Wow! Let me approve my friend requests!
I really didn’t know that a cockroach will live nine days without its head before it starves to death!
But after checking out what my friend’s latest status, now I know!
The wonders of social networking!
Next up is Twitter!
How can any social networking app be complete without Twitter?
Social Butterfly: Twitter is one of the most widely used social networking tool, and we have it right on the GW620! You can now stay updated on the go!
Shawn: Oh Randy’s going for dental tomorrow! I should reply him and wish him luck!
QWERTY: Thank you Social Butterfly, I’ll take over from here! Let me introduce myself.
QWERTY: Let me tell you what is so special about my keypad! This is another phone’s QWERTY keypad. Doesn’t it look cluttered to you? You need to press a function key to reach the numbers!

Shawn: It sure does look cluttered to me! The keypad can’t be hidden too!
QWERTY: With me around, you can have convenient access to all keys, and also be able to hide the keypad when it’s not in use!
Like this!
QWERTY: You can then make use of the onscreen T9 keypad to compose your message!
Shawn: A sidekick phone! How awesome! Now I can type much much faster!

Auto-Face Recognition Owl: I’m like the coolest of all the friends! I can detect and remember all your friends’ faces!
Shawn: That sounds awesome, but what’s the deal about that?
Auto-Face Recognition Owl: After taking a photo, touch your friend’s face, and a “?” will appear on the face. Touch and hold at the face, and you get to tell LG GW620 the name of your friend!
Auto-Face Recognition Owl: So she’s Belinda! Is she like your good friend, or MORE THAN THAT? *cheeky smile*
Shawn: She’s just my old friend! This is such a cool function! What else can I do after naming my friend?
Shawn: That is very convenient! Now I can look at the person’s face then make calls!
5.0 MP Camera Cheerleader: Hi Shawn! I’m the crystal clear 5.0 Megapixels Camera that works with the Auto-Face Recognition Owl!
I am never camera shy, and I take crystal clear photos with Auto Focus! Check out the photo below that features depth of field!
GPS kiddo: I’m the GPS on the LG GW620! I work with Google Maps to bring you detailed routes to your destination!
Shawn: Wow! This way I’ll never get lost again!
Browser Boy: Hi I’m the Browser and I’m real fast!
Browser Boy: I can surf the web at great speed with 3G HSDPA 900 / 2100!
Shawn: Wow that’s pretty impressive!
Mail Fetcher: Hey I’m your super efficient Mailbox! I fetch mail and deliver them to you instantly on the LG GW620!
Shawn: I’ve got a new comment from Andric. He’s saying that my blog post is interesting! Let me approve that!
Briefcase: Hi! I am the Document Viewer.
Shawn: No thanks! I don’t drink coffee! I guess many businessmen will need you for their work. Be good!
These 8 friends work hand in hand together to bring you the LG GW620 (aka LG Eve).
They starred in videos too!

Are you going to get one of the LG Eve? Because I’m already using one, thanks to LG, I’m one of the 6 bloggers trying out this phone!
