I’ve always wanted to be a firefighter when I was young.
I would go crazy when my mum brings me to a fire station to visit! All the fire engines, sirens, and hoses, are my soft spot. I remember there was this officer that used to bring me around when I sat on his shoulders. CUTE RIGHT! Haha.
But now I’m all grown up and when I visit the fire station, I realised that it was still pretty much the same! Nostalgia!
Here’s a picture of me trying out the ladder on the fire engine. I remember I was real excited that time!
Can’t imagine how they do this everyday because I actually have a phobia of heights.
So what are you waiting for? Gear up and head over to http://pea.to/scdf3 to know more about this rewarding career!
Give yourself a chance to contribute to the welfare of our country.
I love you guys.
Work has been a bitch but I still love everyone here.
Been kinda disconnected from the virtual world for a few weeks and counting.
I’ll be back with a post real soon.
kthxbye.

Remember the theme is – ‘Priceless Moments’!
The best part is, there is no specific subject you have to shoot on, just make sure that the photo encapsulates a “Priceless Moment” of yours!
The following is one of my “Priceless Moments”.
In that moment, that very motion stops and is captured in a picture.
If a particular picture could make you think back about that moment, that IS a priceless moment.
I was in Korea, in the vicinity of the hotel, and wanted to try out some Korean food.
“At this very moment in this picture, I was savoring one of the rice cakes shaped like sausages. I remember that it tasted so spicy, I immediately asked for a bottle of water from the vendor.”
Another photo in Korea,
I was in Gyeongbokgung Palace, and I was with power bloggers from over the world. One of them from Engadget, Nick was taking a picture of the stone tablet, and this korean kid was walking by, glancing at him. I remember that at that point of time I was VERY cold and the temperature was at –5 degrees!
Yet another one in Korea.
“Deciphering the coded messages with my team mates. It was something like an ‘Amazing Race’. I was dressed like a dumpling!”
Have you got ideas yet?
As you can see from mine, you can snap virtually anything just that it has to be related to the theme.
Look through your pics and get searching for your most Priceless Moment!
You are welcome to post links of your entry in the comments!
NOISE SINGAPORE 2010.
Sponsored Advertorial
Hey people!
I’ve something to share with you guys.
Have you guys heard of Noise yet?
No?
So what’s this NOISE all about?
Many youths now are actually hidden gems that don’t have a place to express their creative talents. Now they have a chance to do so.
Noise Singapore is Singapore’s foremost youth festival, dedicated to create awareness of the talents of youths below the age of 35, in the areas Art & Design, Music, and Photography.
It is the foremost platform in Singapore to discover and nurture talented, creative Singaporean youths, give them the recognition they deserve, and get them spotted for their creative talents
Currently there’s a showcase going on at Raffles City!
MRT: City Hall
When: 26 Feb-10 Mar 2010, 11am to 9.30pm
Admission: Free
Went to the showcase recently, and it was great!
There were some concepts in the showcase, like the photography studio,
along with a makeup table,
Art studio for the artsy fartsies,
A music recording studio, where all the audiophiles gather,
Viewers get a chance to experience hands on, and design something and experience the creation process.
I think this is REALLY COOL! I didn’t have a chance to try this out though! Too busy taking photos!
Design something and get it posted on the wall! I expect all of you guys to try, because IT IS FREE and you get to showcase your very own talent too!
ANYONE can do this!
Within the showcase are some 400 pieces selected from over 9000 submissions!
There’s also this Apprenticeship programme,
whereby the apprentice gets a mentor, and gets professional guidance. Showcase are some of their final projects.
Here are some of my fav pieces!
This talented young man took pictures of things happening at different timings at the very same location.
Fantastic way to record time, because in every picture, that very moment lasts an eternity.
Grace, the person who showed us around, was talking to me about this piece, and I found the idea real creative. It was something about the world is filled with candy canes and everything nice, unexpected misfortune could happen so we should not take anything for granted.
Figure it out yourself at the showcase!
And then, for those crazy people that just can’t leave a place empty-handed,
Yes there’s a mini store within that showcase.
Pieces with the tags “FOR SALE” are ON SALE!
Check it out at the showcase.
