Samsung Galaxy S4 Launch
Samsung’s latest phone from the Galaxy brand is launching in Singapore today, 27th April. I’ve booked an appointment with Singtel tonight to get mine. Madly excited!
For those that are still contemplating over which carrier to choose, here are the plans and the phone cost price I’ve painstakingly copied from the net. I feel that Starhub has the best offer for Basic plans signups. However, due to some account issues with Starhub, I cannot recontract under them, that’s why I’m going for Singtel.

ORD! Finally.
ORD LOHHHH!
I can still remember the first day I received my uniforms. I felt damn important! But that moment was short-lived, because a few hours after receiving my uniforms, I was treated like a dog by the sergeants in BMTC.
My section in BMTC. (March 2011~July 2011)
Right after that, I got into Military Police (MP). (August 2011~ March 2013)
And this is another photo with my lovely section.
For all those young boys out there, I was like you once. I have no clue what I have to do in army, no clue about the hierarchy and didn’t know what to expect at all. Army life for me is full of negative stuff. I don’t mean to discourage you guys from doing well in army, but my 2 years didn’t go as well as I hoped it to be.
I was infected with pneumonia in BMT, became very sickly, and thus didn’t get into command school because of the long period that I was sick. I really did want to make it to command school though.
Anyway, in army you will get to see lots of people from different walks of life. Some will become your good friends, best friend. While some others will become your enemies, or your nemesis.
Me and my girlfriend. She was with me for a year plus and was with me through my ORD. Thanks!
Me and some of my BMT section mates. We got posted to different places, but still manage to keep in contact. Lovely! Hope it stays this way.
One of the cutest guys in my army life, Junbin. He’s from china. Haha!
Group photo with the section! (Now with hair)
The closest friends I made during my army life was in MP command, where I spent the rest of my two years.
My best buddy! Darren. Went through so much ups and downs with him. Through thick and thin!
Jonathan, my MP training school buddy! He introduced my girlfriend to me. Our girlfriends are sisters!
Went to Taiwan with Darren, Jonathan and Zhengyu after our ORD. Really fun trip! Will be blogging about the trip.
For those who haven’t enlisted and have the jitters, don’t worry, I was there too. Face the 2 years bravely, it will be over sooner or later. All the best!!
Taiwan 2013–ORD Trip
Went to Taiwan with my beloved friends from army.
At Changi Airport:
Day 1
Once we touched down, we went to watch the Change Of Guard ceremony. Had quite a hard time finding the place, because they were guarding indoors, instead of the reviews we saw online that they were standing outdoors. We were quite excited to watch this because we perform Change Of Guards Ceremonies ourselves!
You can find them at Matyrs Shrine. The ceremony happens every hour during the day.
Hostel – Stayed at a pretty budget hostel. 20,000NT for a week. Very good location! Those who wanna know where just drop me an email. ![]()
They even have a washing machine and a medium sized fridge!
We crashed at the hostel once we reached, because we took an overnight flight and we were all tired. ![]()
First night, Ximending!
First time queuing for food in Taipei. It’s Oyster Mee Sua! Delicious. It has been an icon in the trendy Ximending district since 1975 and has been going strong.
For a large bowl, NT$65, small bowl for NT$45. You got to stand and eat with a spoon. Unique!
After some shopping we headed back to our hostel by MRT. Day ended pretty fast because we were so tired!
Day 2
Ate at a nearby western restaurant because we were too hungry!
Evans Burger
Address: No. 198, Section 1 Dūnhuà South Road, Dà’ān District, Taipei
地址:台北市大安區敦化南路1段198號
Price: NT$400
It wasn’t fantastic, but we were all starving, so we didn’t have a choice! ![]()
Went to the nearby SOGO to shop! It’s like our Isetan/BHG. There are brands like Onitsuka Tiger, Porter International, etc.
There are two SOGOs nearby the ZhongXiao FuXing MRT.
SOGO Mall (For Zhongxiao Branch – Exit 4, For Fuxing Branch – Exit 2)
After some shopping, we went to Chia Te Bakery shop
105台北市南京東路5段88號
Bought some pastries for friends and families, and headed to Shilin!
To get to Shilin, you have to alight at the Jiantan station.
Straight away: Our virgin smelly tofu experience
This one we had wasn’t too smelly, and tasted like normal tofu.
Then we had Coffin Bread. It was fantastic! It’s a must try. If you don’t know what to order, just request for their “zhao pai”. Which is what that stall is famous for.
Coffin Bread
Steamed pork dumpling. Tastes like xiaolongbao and it’s my personal favourite! ![]()
You can find a sausage fest easily. Yeah literally. Not a fan of sausages though. Yeah literally again. (You see what I did here~)
Darren’s posing with a stick of chicken butt. He had a bite and spat it out. LOL.
The beautiful Shilin nightlife
Went for a short massage with a bundle of sticks. Up till today I still don’t know what I’ve experienced. It wasn’t very comfortable to me.
7 mins – NT$100
Wasted lots of time playing games at a funfair. Didn’t manage to win anything!
Fancy a dick waffle?
Trying out some new shoes. Ended up buying them x_x
That concludes Day 2! ![]()
